Dive into the fascinating world of book printing as it was in the past! Experience the artisanal craft of book printing as we set type, create prints, and share stories about the captivating Baroque era.
Create your own marbled paper sheets and experience the creative play with chance that lets the different colors flow into each other.
In this three-hour workshop with Heinz "Rüebli" Fässler and Ursula Gräppi, you will create your own deck of cards. You will print a French deck with Parisian images using a reproduction of a printing plate by card maker Urs Fürst from Flumenthal near Solothurn. Afterwards, you will color the deck with the help of various stencils using watercolor, varnish the deck, and cut it into individual cards.
