Two Aargau Schools Win FHNW Innovation Award

Augmented reality project of the Kreisschule Chestenberg: Award presented by Fabian Knuchel, museum director of the Enter Technikwelt.

The Enter Technikwelt Solothurn had the special pleasure of participating in the honor of innovative school projects as part of the "smart@digital-Awards" by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). Our museum director, Fabian Knuchel, presented the Kreisschule Chestenberg from Wildegg with the award for their impressive augmented reality project.

A creative interplay of art and technology

The awarded project by the 5th grade of the Kreisschule Chestenberg transformed artworks from the Aarau Art Museum into interactive augmented reality experiences. The students learned to use various digital tools and gave the artworks a new dimension: portraits began to speak and sing, landscape pictures were redesigned, and well-known watercolors served as a basis for their own extended creations.

Impressive educational approaches

The combination of digital education and creative design fully convinced the jury of the "smart@digital-Awards." The project impressively demonstrates how problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork can be promoted. Particularly noteworthy is the skillful linking of design, art education, media production, computer science, and application skills. According to the jury, this is an exemplary strengthening of modern educational approaches.

Recognition by the Enter Technikwelt

Fabian Knuchel, museum director of the Enter Technikwelt, conveyed the congratulations of the Enter Technikwelt community and personally presented the award.

Looking to the future

The award, endowed with 1,000 francs, supports the Kreisschule Chestenberg in further developing their projects in the field of media and computer science. The Enter Technikwelt will eagerly follow which creative and digital innovations emerge from this school in the future.

Such projects impressively prove how digital tools and methods can not only enhance media literacy but also foster enthusiasm for art and culture. The Enter Technikwelt warmly congratulates the Kreisschule Chestenberg on this well-deserved award!
